Job Description – Assistant Principal

The Assistant Principal is responsible for managing the operations of the school to continuously meet goals and objectives.  On a daily basis, principals must perform a variety of tasks, including overseeing staff performance, supervising student behavior and ensuring that the academic programs are thriving.  The Assistant High Principal will provide leadership direction to the High School program while working collaboratively with the Columbia Central High School Principal.  The Assistant High School Principal will assist the Building Principal in all aspects of the school. The Assistant Principal will report directly to the Columbia Central High Principal. 

Job Description – Athletic Director

The Athletic Director provides administrative leadership in planning, implementation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of interscholastic athletic programs for the school district. The Athletic Director promotes extracurricular athletic activity that fosters skill development, understanding of sports, and appreciation for a variety of athletic activities and programs, teaming and sportsmanship for students and adults.


  • Possession of a bachelor's degree and valid education credentials from the State of Michigan.  Master’s Degree in teaching/curriculum/ or educational leadership preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Student focused approach
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Current teaching certificate and possess or working towards an administrative certificate.
  • Knowledge of or experience with 7-12 grade curriculum, data analysis, performance assessment and school improvement planning preferred.
  • Ability to work well in fast paced environment
