The District is a few miles southwest of Lansing in Eaton County. It is conveniently located off I-69 near the State Capitol Complex. The District also offers to those students who qualify, full special education services. The innovative Student Support Network program provides counseling, social work, and other emotional and physical support to students.

The District’s annual budget is approximately nine million dollars. The most recent audited fund balance was 6.8%. There is a sinking fund, which supports infrastructure improvements across all of the schools and the administration building. Dean Transportation provides general and extra transportation under contract through the 2019-20 school year. Special education transportation is provided through the Eaton Regional Education Service Agency.
