The Buckley Community Schools Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent/Principal to begin work July 1, 2018.  The Board is being assisted in the search by Dr. Rodney Green, Consultant for Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB). 


Buckley is located in beautiful northern Michigan with close proximity to Traverse City.  Residents and visitors greatly enjoy all forms of four season outdoor recreational and sporting activities.  The district serves approximately 400 students on one campus, pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.  Buckley has a caring and committed staff where “EVERY Student is Our FIRST Priority”.


The Board is seeking a superintendent/principal who is a strong leader with excellent people skills and a solid background in teaching and administration.  The superintendent/principal will partner with an additional building principal, teachers, and support staff to serve the District.  The superintendent/principal should be an effective communicator with staff and community, actively work with the Board and community to set and reach goals, and understand finance.  This educational leader will be ethical, honest, and friendly.

Salary and Contract Information

The district will offer a competitive wage and benefit package (salary range $100,000 to $115,000) that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next Superintendent/Principal.
