The Montrose Community Schools District is located in the Northwest corner of Genesee County.  Geographically the district is made up of approximately 36 square miles and is located on M-57, 6 miles west of I-75.  The district includes 4 buildings:  Carter Elementary, Kuehn-Haven Middle School, Hill-McCloy High and the Alternative Education Building.  The student population has been stable over the last few years with a blended student count of 1,431 for the 2017-18 school year.
