Intervention Facilitator Moccasin Elementary School

Buchanan Community Schools is welcoming applicants for an Intervention Facilitator at Moccasin Elementary School.  The district seeks qualified applicants to provide targeted strategic and intensive math intervention instruction to groups of students in grades 2-4th as part of the Moccasin MTSS/RTI program for Tiers 2 and 3.  Additionally, provide support at the Tier 2 and 3 levels in reading.  This position is not part of the teacher contract and is paid out of title funds.

Preferred Qualifications Summary:

  • Elementary Education Certification
  • Flexible, caring, and creative
  • Prior experience in administering and scoring DIBELS NEXT, PSI, PASI testing, and Running Records reading assessments and then using the collected data results to plan effective strategic or intensive instruction for below benchmark achieving students. 
  • Ability to use NWEA and DIBELS scores to drive instructional planning and lesson implementation
  • Regularly complete progress monitoring data collection
  • Technology skills, spreadsheets, etc.

  • Able to effectively take direction, as well as, work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
  • Ability to handle complex and stressful issues or situations with sound judgment, common sense, and a calm demeanor
  • Impeccable character, sense of humor, and compassion for students, families, and district staff

Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Good communication skills and ability to work with At-Risk students
  • Punctual and rarely absent work habits

 

Position Details:

  • Title: Intervention Facilitator  – Moccasin Elementary School
  • Reports to: Moccasin Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Stacey Denison
  • Starting date: September 4th, 2018
  • Calendar: Up to 185 Days
  • Compensation: $16.00/hr. (non-certified teacher) - $20/hr. (certified teacher), 4 sick days/1 personal day, and single insurance coverage offered
