Position Details: 

Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for all Student Record submissions to the State of Michigan (Pupil Count, Early Childhood, Sectionn 25, etc)
  • Provide district level support for the Student Management System (SMS) to schools and their employees (Powerschool experience preferred)
  • Provide district level support for the Learning Management System (LMS) to schools and their employees. (Canvas experience preferred)
  • Monitor the SMS for data integrity, security, and state reporting.
  • Provide district and school level troubleshooting solutions for events related to the SMS and LMS.
  • Work with vendors as needed to resolve system problems to maintain daily operation of the SMS and LMS.
  • Plan and perform basic database functions and routine file management tasks, including transferring, loading, archiving and converting data for purposes of managing, maintaining and securing student and staff information.¬†
  • Develops training materials that facilitate the effective use of the SMS and LMS, and instructs other personnel for the purpose of ensuring proper and efficient usage of the system, data and databases.
  • Work independently as well as with other to successfully complete state and federal reporting.
  • Maintains test environment for the purpose of planning, implementing, testing and training for new releases for the SMS and LMS.
  • Create all necessary student accounts with the help of account creation tools
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
