Position Details: 

Reed City Area Public Schools is accepting applications for a dynamic, energetic Secondary Inclusion Special Education Teacher.


  1. B.A. or B.S. in Education
  2. Must be Certified and Highly Qualified in a Special Education Inclusion/Resource Room - Emotional Impairment (SE) preferred; Learning Disabilities (SM) may be considered.
  3. Have experience developing classroom and individual management plans


  1. Working knowledge of evidence-based strategies
  2. Ability to work with special need students in an inclusive setting
  3. Ability to collect and analyze data to assess student achievement
  4. Provide differentiated instruction for students and make accommodations based on individual student data; ability to identify and incorporate strategic and intensive interventions as dictated by individual student data.
  5. Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
  6. Meet with parents to discuss their children’s progress and to determine priorities for their children and their individualized educational needs
  7. Confer with parents, administrators, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) designed to promote students’ educational, physical, and social/emotional development
  8. Use technology systems (Skyward, Smartboards, Google, etc.) to manage records, generate reports, and analyze data to drive instruction.
  9. Other duties assigned by school principal/building administrators.
  10. Coaching opportunities available.
