Position Details: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service coordination and service provider for Early On eligible children.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork related to Early On eligible children including individualized education plan, integrative reports, attendance, contact logs, and service logs.
  • Plan and facilitate community playgroups.
  • Plan curriculum, develop lessons and provide instruction based on individual student and family needs using the Primary Service Provider Model as well as Coaching with the family and caregivers of eligible children.
  • Document student progress through ongoing assessment.
  • Complete and maintain documentation of services in accordance with district policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to work as part of a collaborative team in an inclusive or home setting.
  • Willingness to work year-round calendar (185 days/year)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Family Counseling, or other related fields of study.
  • MI-AIMH (Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health) Endorsement preferred.
  • Home-visiting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with administrators, staff, agencies, the community, students and families as a teacher in community and home-based situations.
  • Possess organizational ability, self-directedness, and initiative.
  • Experience working with young children, parents and families
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Requires exceptional oral and written communication skills.  Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills

 

Employment Date, Salary and Work Year

Anticipated start date will be determined upon hire.  Salary is determined as per the master contract.  Work days will be 185 days pro-rated for the remainder of the contract year.  This posting will be open for two weeks and if a suitable candidate can not be found, it will be open until filled.  EOE
