The Board of Education for the Bellaire Public Schools is in search of a new superintendent, who will also share some principal responsibilities. This is only the preliminary posting; a detailed profile of the ideal candidate will be added on or about March 18, 2019. Bellaire is located in Antrim County in scenic northwest lower Michigan with close proximity to Traverse City, pristine lakes and rivers, scenic trails and woodlands, and renowned ski and golf resorts. The district of approximately 375 K-12 students was named a 2018 Academic State Champ by Bridge Magazine and ranked in the top 10 small Michigan school districts for growth. The district was also awarded a Bronze Medal for their National Ranking as one of the nation’s top high schools for 2017 from U.S News and World Report. The district consists of modern and well maintained K-5 Elementary and 6-12 Middle/High School buildings. The district houses preschool, Head Start and Great Start Readiness Programs. Salary and Contract Information
The district will offer a competitive wage and benefit package (salary range $100,000 to $110,000) that reflects the experience and education of the candidate chosen as the next Superintendent.
